My kids and girls track mud in large quantities every day. We have a backdoor that comes to our laundry room and serves as a sort of mud room. His shoes are always covered with mud. I say you can not go with mud on their shoes and do it anyway. I have received through the mud to walk in the washing machine and dryer. Then the shoes are all muddy and wear clean clothes without shoes. It will get a big test for cleaning your shoes and usually is more of a mess from the beginning. I am delighted to be crazy. It would be nice if his father would step or sidewalk, so they do not walk in the mud, somewhere.

Looks like you just have to see until you get used to having their shoes. That would be cool if you could change the outside, but in the meantime, not the smart thing (for free) matter.

No shoes in the house!
Make a game to see who can keep clean the room. making it useful for plastic bins and hooks for your clothes with their names or cartoon characters on their favorite. Furthermore, I suggest a place near the door (or inside if possible, sit) in order to enter their muddy shoes before you. What happens when wet socks for a while. That only in the wet socks in the basket on its way.
